I was recently thinking about the saying “There’s no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong selection of clothes!”; and especially how this has current relevance in relation to our economic recession. At the heart of this saying, I think there is a real message that is relevant to us all, whether you are running or employed in a business. 1. You have to keep looking at the environment, and be prepared for dramatic changes. 2. Just like the weather, where a lot of detailed readings are taken and analysis to provide a forecast, so we all need to keep a weather eye out for what is coming, and be prepared. 3. Even bad weather can be enjoyable if you are properly dressed and prepared for it.
